If you like desert terrains, dunes, shrubs, lizards, wild rabbits, cacti, etc, then this is the place for you. The nature is gorgeous and calm, just let the sound of the wind carry you away. I recommend coming here if you need time alone.

We enjoyed the wide open space on this beach for walking. It was also handy that we could park our car along the side of the road and walk across the sand to the beach. The different colours of the water were beautiful.

Just loved the sand dunes and the camel rides. Stunning view all over the place. I would recommend to spend at least a day just to walk around the desert but don't forget your suncream.

From wind surfing to a small stroll this area gives you many options. From the parking spots of the main road it's quite a walk to the beach, but well worth it if you're in to beaches and swimming in the sea. The dunes provide shelter from Fuerteventura's wind, so sunbathing is pleasant.

Great walk across a stunning landscape which will be alien to most! Easy to access either on foot from the town or by stopping off in a car ( which gets you to the remoter, less travelled areas). Don't expect any facilities....there aren't any! Which is good....keep it that way, just as nature intended. Good sand and beach near the... More

Really worth while stopping at the adjacent car parking spaces, you can walk into this beautiful expanse of sand and imagine you are in one of the great deserts. Whilst you probably won't meet Lawrence of Arabia, there are wild goats, interesting birds and other wildlife in this fascinating, quiet nature reserve you won't see elsewhere on this lovley island.

I think this is by far the best part of Fuerteventura. The natural beauty of this area is breathtaking. Don't leave Fuerteventura before visiting it!

Long stretches of desert like sand. Nearby parking (free). Sand dunes go on quite a fair bit. Great view from the tops of the dunes. Recommend walking on past the beach bar as it's a good walk and you get a clear view of the light blue ocean. Go further to the sea and you'd think you were in the... More

Great experience for free of a amazing landscape. In parts you feel that you are in the middle of a great desert. Landscape slightly ruined by a blot on the landscape hotel.

Only a short walk from the road and you are quickly immersed in an other worldy landscape of dunes and volcanic rocky outcrops on one side or miles of sandy beach on the other.
