Great surf lessons, went to different beaches based on conditions. Tom pays attention to details and really helps you improve your technique and have fun in the water! He includes theory and gives detailed feedback. Would definitely book surf lessons again

Loved my surfsession with Tom!It was sô much fun to ‘get the FEELS’ for the waves.Tom first taught us all about the technique and then we went for it!😂Thank you for your know-how and your patience!Now I can cross this off my bucketlist!😋If anyone ever wants to try this adventure,please just go find Tom from 7 Island Surf!You’ll love it!👏🏻

The intermediate lessons that I took with Tom (surf coach) were amazing!
He knows the surf breaks really well and explained where the currents are / channels and any hazards in the water. He runs the place / time of the class dependant on the tide and conditions so we were able to surf the best waves that day.
At the start of the sessions he explained surf theory thoroughly and linked it to the land based drills (practising the pop up as well as different turns) and the warm up.
I felt really safe during the lessons and he took us out in the right waves for our ability with a max group size of 4 so we could get lots of individualised feedback.
He also gave feedback after every wave whilst we were in the water so we could learn throughout the session.
Tom is also a really nice, down-to-earth guy so it was really fun to go surfing with him and the other people in the sessions!!

Tom was always absolutely on time and always carefully ensured safety both when driving and surfing, the gear was very well looked after.
He offered a perfect mixture of theory in his well considered explanations e. g. with laminated step by step photos of manouvers, the efficient warming up related to surf movements, the dry land training, the spot selection and the guidance in the water with strong pushes when needed and care.
Tom is, being a British gentleman with a good sense of humour, a passionate surf coach, who makes you progress really fast. Highly recommended!!

We chose to go with Tom at 7 Island after seeing various reviews of companies online. Some of the surf schools are quite big so we anticipated large classes. We wanted something more intimate as it was our first time and I was quite nervous
Tom collected us from our hotel and I immediately felt at ease. It was just myself and my partner and tom, having lived here 22 years knew the best places for beginners/intermediate/expert so we knew we were going to appropriate Surf!
The class was excellent value for money and we both left feeling we'd both learnt something and had fun
Genuinely think we would now consider coming back to do several days schooling as was so much fun
Highly recommend Tom and his surf lessons, You won't be disappointed

Excellent🤙 myself and family with children aged 15, 13 & 10 had a beginners lesson with Tom and would book again in a heart beat. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and understanding, our youngest has difficulty paying attention and Tom was very accomadating which ment a great deal to all of us.

Used Tom on recommendation of friends from the UK.
Easy to arrange, always on time and very personable.
I've had a few lessons, and Tom is definitely as good an instructor as you'll find.
Good equipment, thorough training and always enthusiastic.

We have been surfing with Tom the last couple of days and had an absolute wonderful experience. Tom is very experienced, friendly, calm and just the perfect instructor in every way! He lets the weather forecast guide where and when to go surfing. We were surfing in small groups which makes it possible to get personal tips and nothing is more encouraging than the instructor cheering for you after a good wave. The additional information prior to and post surfing was very informative and of great value. In sum: most definitely go and surf with 7 island!!

Just had four consecutive surf lessons with Tom. After 20 years of off and on surfing and multiple lessons Tom is by far and away the best instructor I have experienced. His warm up and shore training is thorough and clear and he gets into well explained detail for progressive surfers who want to turn. Tom is big on safety and manages groups with mixed ability really successfully. By the end of four sessions I had overcome an inability to turn on my back hand and was able to bottom turn and cut back- obviously needs practice and refinement but the skills are all now there. I hope to make it an annual visit to continue to improve and sort out any bad habits formed when surfing alone. Many thanks Tom.

We first went surfing with Tom five years ago and we repeated this year. He is still super good at making beginners feel comfortable, giving tips but not being too instrusive and giving you the freedom to try out things. Thanks to him I'm now able to stand up and turn! Very adaptable with family logistics too (we were travelling with our baby). Always hunting for the best spot for the day (with fewer people, protected from the wind and the too big swells). Looking forward to coming back again.

I am visiting the island this Saturday for 12 days. Was keen to try surfing with myself and my 2 kids.
Just wondered the costs and if we needed to bring our own wet suits or if we can hire from you?

Hey Jamie, Thanks for contacting us. Our Surf & Stay package comes to 340 Euros for a shared room and 415 Euros for a private room at our Surf House. This would be including daily basic breakfast, 5 Surf coaching sessions, all transport to the beaches and back, all equipment needed for the surfing, a 7 Island Surf T-shirt and of course our sports insurance during the sessions.
