The forest is good for bird watching and there are great walks there. Also good for picnics dog walking etc.

this is a real haven of escape .. you can lose yourself anongst the trees and following interesting paths to your hearts content and if you are lucky you will spot a red squirrel

great walk/run/job. whatever u want to do u will love it at the forest..one thing I hate is the amount of dog poo there.. please pick up your dog poo if you go..

My partner and I really enjoyed our visit to the parkhurst forest. We found the red squirrel hide and decided to come back in dawn/dusk one day to have better chances of seeing them. Some of the walkways were a little bit overgrown with plants...More

I used to live right next door to this place. Was down for a weekend wedding and managed a half hour walk through a small section for old times sake :) It's a proper old forest. Not huge but plenty of space to get lost...More

we enjoyed a lovely walk through the woods there are some large wooden carvings, there are also red squirrels about so you maybe luckey enough to spot one

Walk dog up forest kids love it nice walk come sun or rain Lots of stuff to look out for but if you have children watch they don't play hide and seek like mine have
