Excellent place to visit, easy to get to by Ferry, which if you have children with you, will love. Lots of green space for them to run around too.

The ferry is so easy to use, quick and convenient. I think my only grumble would be that it doesn’t run late enough. Last ferry across from tilbury is 7.12pm. It would be used more if the ferries were a little later as people from...More

Needed to catch the ferry from Gravesend to Tibury for work, was a STUNNING day so very pleasent. Staff on the boat are fantastic, even offering refreshments and snaks which is nice. The crossing only takes 10 mins but, the fresh air in the morning...More

We travelled off peak so only 1 of us had to pay, free for concessionary travel card holders. Great to park for free on Tilbury side if a little unnerving to find the car rocking as a boat left the jetty! After enjoying some shopping...More

Fourth time using the Tilbury-Gravesend ferry. Good value for the short crossing. Excellent link between Essex and Kent; saves me the hassle of going all the way to London in order to go home to Thanet.

Incredible the journey across the River Thames includes a sighting of a white whale which is now part of the tourist excursion. Crew very helpful to give you a guided tour of the whales habitat.

A great way to cross the river instead of getting stuck on the Dartford Bridge or queuing at the tunnel. Friendly staff. A relaxing way to travel taking in the sites of the river.

I had to get to Gravesend for work where there was no parking. This is a great little connection from Essex to Kent or vice versa if you're using public transport. Instead of heading all the way into London and back out again, and avoiding...More

I love this trip - even though there's no real reason to go to Tilbury from Gravesend (sorry Essex folk) once you've done the fort...apart from the HUGE pub on the other side (OK that's a pretty good reason). But it's such a GREAT trip,...More

On the actual huge pontoon where you board the ferry, all day free parking ? Advise early parking ie 9.45am for a 10.15 am ferry
