- Terri M4 contributionsFantastic 30th Birthday ExperienceLast week for my 30th birthday we booked the package deal to complete Overlord and Panic stations. We had a mixture of experience with some having done almost all of the rooms and some with no experience at all. Overlord Review - Firstly we was really impressed with the detail and the size of the room and it was really good fun. I liked the fact you could have a big team (we had 10!). I have played most of the rooms there and at times I was even stumped at some of the challenges. Overlord Feedback suggestion - I would say it was difficult at times as everything links back to one place in the room which made it difficult as a large team. An idea would be possibly to set up stations so you have to work together across different parts of the room. Panic Stations Review - we decided to play the laser tag with the electric shock on apart from one person due to medical reasons. We was a little worried at first at how it would be but the shock itself was mild. We played some really good games like team death match, capture the flag and domination. We split up into two teams the oldies vs youngsters and even had a player who is age 70! The youngsters was completely defeated in the first game by the oldies. Everyone throughout had so much fun and would love to play it again. This was the highlight of the night and was still be talked about for days later.Visited December 2022Travelled with friendsWritten 13 December 2022
- SaltyKent, United Kingdom186 contributionsDON'T PANIC!!!Very well thought out and well coordinated exercise. Mainly leaving a review to make sure we commend the 2 young guys who acted as our hosts and helpers, adding just the right amount of well timed clues to try and help us escape. Well done, boys and thank you. We failed quite miserably and millions died as a result of our stupidity, but although we sacrificed most of mankind, we did have a laugh. Only downside that cost a star was the fact that it was absolutely freezing in there to the point that we could barely feel our fingers by the end. We were reassured that it wasn't usually that cold, so don't be put off. Cracking fun, would definitely recommend.Thank you so much for the wonderful review! This past weekend was a bit on the chilly side indeed, I can confirm as part of our upgrades rollout, a new heating system was installed throughout the arena on Monday which means that the temperature will be just right for future sessions. Thank you for the feedback and hope to see you again soon!Written 20 December 2022This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited December 2022Written 18 December 2022
- Linda H2 contributionsGreat Family FunMy 1st Panic Room and I really enjoyed it. It was the CSI Christmas one. Very well designed clues and puzzles. Family friendly and accessible for disabled people. A brilliant shop too, wish I’d have found before I’d done my Christmas shopping! Shout out to Peter H who explained things well.Visited December 2022Written 19 December 2022
- HannahMay832 contributionsAwesomeIf i could give more than 5 Stars I totally would. Being a Gravesender I've seen the Panic Room grow and evolve over the years from their original premises near the Clock Tower to the current location at the back of the St George's Centre and I don't doubt that the empire will continue to expand. I just wish I'd visited sooner! I feel like i already know that Google'S word counter is gonna stop me at some point but I'll just keep on about how awesome the experiences are until then....🤪 I can't praise the whole team and set up highly enough. Stepping in to the Panic Room main entrance you'll be greeted by a friendly team member who will check you in and run you through a couple of House Rules before getting down to the Experience. All very organised and safe but very relaxed at the same time. So far I've visited twice and will be coming along as regularly as possible now. So much fun, I want to share every detail but at the same time it should be a total surprise each time like it was for me. The team and games masters are just great and all so friendly, Kat was Games Master for our Hell House experience and Amelia for Enigma, Cameron looked after us at the bar and the whole team are just FAB in every way. The rooms so brilliantly thought out. With decent facilities, super awesome team, digital copies of team photos thrown in, a gift shop, bar area, Good Music, even an Axe Throwing area, all very safe and well organised too of course, i hope the Panic Room Gravesend goes on to Conquer the World. Literally something for everyone with 18 different rooms at any given time and so many other things to while the day away, especially if you're willing to walk round into the centre to visit the other branches with the arcade games and mini golf, I wish I'd realised how cool the place is years ago as I feel like I've missed a lot of fun but am so making up for it now haha Thanks guys for making each time amazing, see y'all again soon... If we make it back from the Upside Down that is 🙃 Merry Christmas too!!!Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 December 2022
- Alison H1 contributionBrilliant for team buildingWe booked Hell House as a team building event. As a group we weren't sure what to expect, as some of the team had never visited an escape room before, but have to say we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The puzzles and clues were very challenging and excellently thought through. Reece was superb as our creepy (but loveable) game master. Well done Reece and the whole escape room team - we will be visiting again!Visited December 2022Written 21 December 2022

Brilliant escape room, with really helpful games master. Really clever clues and the games master was helpful in guiding us on some of the more tricky ones without just giving us the answer. Would recommend.

Castle of Memories is not a escape room. It is an escape game. The entire game is played in a 3D castle - about the size of a four-person dining table - that players put their hands into in order to move pieces around.
We completed the game in 59:10 (out of 75 minutes) and although it was an experience to play in a new and different dimension, we’re unlikely to book this style of game again. Due to the nature of the game, whilst the website says 1-4 players, only 1-2 players can see what they’re doing and any others would be waiting around. Our Games Master explained afterwards that she’s only ever seen 4 player games conducted with families where the parents assist the children who take it in turns to complete tasks.
After playing (although not escaping) Marvellous Magic School (and other games), this game felt like a bit of an oversold letdown. That said, if you’re planning on introducing children to the world of escape, this is one of the best ways to do so.
P.S. we played this game in March 2022. Due to TripAdvisor rules, I cannot review more than once every 3 months and so I was delayed in posting this review until now.

Hi Rachel,
Thanks for the review for your experience a year and half ago! Castle Of Memories actually closed 6 months ago, so although we can't do anything with your feedback we appreciate you leaving it anyway.
Escape Rooms are a creative process and without innovation, nothing evolves. We were proud of Castle Of Memories which provided families with a cost effective escape game experience.
In order to make sure your reviews get posted sooner, I would recommend maybe consolidating your reviews to cover multiple games and review your overall experience of the games/company. There are great sites like Morty or Escape The Review for more individual room reviews.
Hope to see you again soon!

Amazing time with three SEN children!
We booked the Marvellous Magic School room and I was apprehensive they would cope, but Sarah and Luke were incredible!
They provided pictures of the room and layout allowing me to prepare them and let them look around and checked the volume level was ok for them.
Luke ran our room and made sure they had clear instructions. They loved every minute and got out with time to spare.
Cannot recommend enough we will be back!

We’ve just done ‘Happy Institute’ - a tricky room but was loads of fun, brought to life by the live action character ‘Dr’, expertly played by Cameron. We have been many times and always have a great laugh at the Panic Rooms!

Having never done a panic room before, I'm wondering if this is a 'role play' (with it without scripts) activity, or is it Crystal Maze type puzzle /clue activity.
ThePanicRoom
Gravesend, UK14 contributions
Hi Richard,
It's more of a puzzle and clue based activity. Think Crystal Maze meets Cluedo, a lot of fun!
Hope to see you soon!

For the ten fathoms deep escape room do you need to have 10 people to make up the teams or can you have 4 and go against another team from another party?
ThePanicRoom
Gravesend, UK14 contributions
You can book for a minimum of 4 people, so 2 vs 2 players. You can go all the way up to 5 vs 5!

Hi, it does say that rooms are suitable for 10+ and adult has to be present the dolls one is 18+. We were advised that the Don was one of the easier and a good starter room. Hope this helps.

Probably old Father Time would be suitable, as it isn't scary and doesn't have live actors, but it would be quite difficult.
