Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum is situated in the centre of town around half a mile on foot from Horsham station.
There is a wide range of exhibits on display pertaining to the local area, particularly with regard to World War II.
I enjoyed section containing strange artefacts including a mummified cat.
The history of local breweries is documented including the formation and demise of King & Barnes.
I liked the collection of watercolour paintings by Geoffrey Sparrow as well as the current exhibition concerning Frederick DuCane Godson, a 19th century bird watcher and explorer, who documented much of the flora and fauna of Central America on his visits
The life of locally born poet Percy Bysshe Shelley is thoughtfully portrayed and there were books by Horsham born Hammond Innes on show in the library too.
I spent an hour or so browsing and admission is free. The museum is closed on Sunday and Monday.

Situated off the main street of Horsham. It tries hard but it lacks coherence.Lots of different subjects jumbled together. Some such as the Second World war are interesting, others such as an exhibition of clothes are not.
Parking at the nearby car park is a bit of a nightmare with no lifts working.

This is a delightful museum. Houses permanent exhibitions of local history and series of temporary art exhibitions from recent and current artists. Has a large collection of the work of Geoffrey Sparrow guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. The small courtyard garden is worth seeing at all times of the year. Well worth a visit and a real asset to Horsham (whatever philistine tory councillors might say).

Was impressed by the art exhibition, the contents of the main building, the garden & the out-buildings that include sections on transport, war farming etc. Spent about 2 hrs there with my fiancée. Will return.

It’s a wonderful old building with many rooms stuffed full with interesting exhibits and an outdoor area as well.
Much of local history can be found here and there is a rolling programme of temporary displays.
Very well-managed, and highly recommended.
