Excellent music venue
Jun 2021
Brookside Theatre is not local to us, we live in Suffolk. We visited recently to see The Revolvers who were giving a Beatles show. The theatre is compact seating just 140 people, although due to Covid restrictions capacity was reduced to around 70. Well equipped, comfortable seating all with an excellent view of the stage and acoustically excellent.

The staff were efficient and made us feel welcome. There is a small, reasonably priced bar and a seating area outside the front of the building.

It isn't often you can write a review without a hint of criticism well done to all involved.

A real gem we must do all we can to keep venues such as this alive.

Brilliant show great singers and a good few laughs recommend it if they come back to the Brookside. Theatre is small but very nice comfortable seats and s good view of the stage. Staff were very nice if I have one moan it’s how cold the auditorium was a lot of theatre goers kept their coats on.

Fabulous

This is our second visit to Brookside in as many months. Not sure how we have missed this theatre for so long but now we are hooked. Super little theatre, great seating, friendly staff. Most importantly we have been impressed with the two productions seen so far, Oliver and The Canterville Ghost. All the cast were brilliant, special mention to the little girl playing the daughter. She will go far! Well done. U

Small local theatre that offers a great selection of plays and musical acts at a reasonable price . The last show I saw was the Little Shop of Horrors and the last musical act was the ELO experience. Both were great. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

I've been to two shows here now, The Ghost Train and Little Shop of Horrors. Both have been brilliant. The sets are very well designed, the acting is fantastic and it's a really lovely little venue. Great value for money. Will come again.

Live Magic
Mar 2019 • Couples
I’ve known about this place for years but never visited but our daughter bought my wife tickets for her Birthday.
The show was Morgan and West Time Travelling Magicians and it was great to see live magic up close. M&W are really entertaining by the way.
The Theatre is a great local facility the staff are really friendly we picked up our tickets from the box office which wasn’t a problem even though they had been booked by our daughter I just showed the confirmation email and because the seating is unreserved you can just sit where you like and make yourself comfortable.
The staging lighting and sound were all very professionally handled and although the seating is on the same level the view was good.
There’s a well stocked and reasonably priced kiosk and a seating area outside if you want some fresh air during the interval.
I don’t think it will be long before our next visit.

Brilliant Local Theatre
Dec 2018 • Friends
Just seen the latest show Christmas Carol which was brilliant. Well done to all the cast. After going to a few of the past music events and shows I've enjoyed each one and never been disappointed. This is a lovely little local theatre and its great to see how well everybody supports it.
