Tripadvisorās approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited on recommendation from a friend. The museum appears small from the outside but there's a lot to see inside with many features from arounf the borough and not just Romford or the Brewery. Well worth a visit.

We had been looking to visit Havering Museum for some time as an uncle worked in Romford Brewery many years ago. We were pleasantly surprised how wide the displays were which covered many parts of the borough. Carers are cared for and there was a good shop with many interesting books. Staff were very helpful and clearly passionate about local history. Well worth a visit.

Friendly staff with a fun find and seek game for kids to do to with a prize at the end. We just so happen to be walking past when we noticed it was open yesterday. Went inside and was told throughout summer it is free entry open Wednesday Thursday and Friday 11 till 4. Itās very informative and interesting

Popped into Romford's little museum in the historic brewery building. A very warm welcome and only £5.50 for myself and my 81 year old Dad.
A mixture of artefacts organised into local areas including Hornchurch, Rainham etc, not soley Romford which gives a broader view of our past here.
Discoveries so important locally, that the British Museum borrow artifacts!
Currently opens 11am to 3pm Weds, Thurs, Fri. It's display cabinets are modern and bright and don't take hours to look around, so plenty of time to pop to Costa for a coffee just through the arch, back at The Brewery carpark. Well worth a look.

Comprehensive little museum on Romford, Hornchurch, Upminster, Rainham, etc. - a mine of information. Can easily spend an hour or two in there.
Staff were really friendly too - not just meet-and-greet, but willing to give extra information as you went around (but not in a pushy way).
Thoroughly enjoyed it, great for picking up little tidbits of information about the area.

I visited this museum on 3 March 2022. I was most impressed by the artifacts which were once household names like Romeo and Ind Coop. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit
