Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a friendly welcome, children loved it, it only takes around half an hour, but it’s free for children and they had fun. We also had a lady giving us a tour and encouraged boys to try things, put armour on. She was beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely day.

Attended a talk on Greenwich Palace there so did not have enough time for proper visit. Lots of maps so you cannot get lost in relation to the Thames and other rivers. Layered information so you can dig as deep as you want. Wide range of interests from local industries, local crafts, local houses and districts.

My wife and I found the museum while doing the last of our Christmas shopping. It's on the site of the old brewery and only costs £2.50 per adult to enter. It isn't big - yet and is largely undiscovered, but definitely deserves more patronage. A very interesting hour spent here and you ticket lasts all day. So you can nip out for lunch and come back if you want. More exhibitions are planned and these change regularly. Will definitely return to see what else is on display.

Used to be part of the brewery which closed some time ago.
Have been in on many occasions and the different exhibitions that have been run this year are a
credit to the volunteers who display the articles and the information is great.
The photos of the pubs in the area take me back 50 years its a pity a lot have closed down or been turned into Tesco stores
You can be come a member of the friends for £10.00 a year
Also a photographic group which meets every month
Great place

Run by a truly dedicated team of historians. It is small but filled with exhibits and information. I think we spent about an hour and a half there. They have regular talks on the local area.

Visited several times but not recently. Everything you could possibly want to learn about the fascinating history of Romford.Beautifully displayed and small enough to not feel overwhelmed with too much detailed information.

Whenever we've been in Romford this place has always been shut. But as it was a rare occasion we were here and it was open we just had to go in.
On the site of the old brewery social club it holds the history of Havering, including the market, brewery, the old houses and manors, people and pubs, there were lots, farming, transport, things that should have been but didn't happen and lots more.
Kes gave us a tour round the place and he was a mine of information. It was extremely interesting and thanks so much to him. He answered all our questions and provided information not seen on the boards.
We had a look round on our own too.
There is lots of exhibits to look at, remember to pull open drawers and slides.
We spent over an hour there and it was well worth popping in.
Not an enormous musuem, just the perfect size.
Worth keeping an eye on the web site for up coming events.

I have visited the Havering Museum on several occasions and on each visit found the volunteer staff, polite, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
The artifacts are varied, well displayed and are of immense interest to anybody keen to explore the town's past.
The special exhibitions have all been well presented and informative. Of particular interest was the displays put together by local model railway enthusiasts..
