About
Welcome to Stapleford Abbots Golf Club, an elegant 18 hole PGA Championship Course. The Abbotts 18 hole golf course offers golfers of all levels a challenging experience. The course includes a number of water features, mature woodlands and undulating fairways. We have recently made significant investment in both machinery and resourcing to improve the course significantly. Trolleys and a fleet of buggies are available to hire, with changing and shower facilities in the clubhouse. The club has very active Men and Ladies sections which offers a full diary of events for golfers, whatever their handicap may be. Several membership options are available, with something to suit to suit every individual. Member privileges include regular reserved tee times and early booking opportunities. Our spectacular 17th Century oak beamed Clubhouse provides the perfect setting for refreshments before or after your round.

Excellent food and staff were so friendly and accommodating , lovely friendly atmosphere have booked our Xmas society day , had great interaction with the staff

This is a “must visit” location which offers the whole package of a great course with several challenging holes, along with a very welcoming social side including a bar and restaurant offering terrific food and a warm, and friendly service. My friends and I have played here on many occasions, and have always enjoyed the experience. Top marks from me!

My mate and I played over at Stapleford Abbott’s , nice course, exceptional friendly staff , had a real good laugh with the two blonde ladies there and had a dinner, well done, total value for money, highly recommend

I haven’t been here a year possibly and what a shock greens were shocking and generally not well kept,This was a great course such a shame.

My first visit to this course for a couple of decades was more than a little disappointing. I remember the course as being rather challenging for a mid-handicapper, and this hasn't changed. The fairways, as in my memory, were in decent nick - but the tee boxes were poorly maintained and the greens a total disgrace. The only saving grace was the special discounted Tuesday price. There are numerous other better maintained courses - and with rather more welcoming club house facilities - within a modest radius of this place, and the plain truth is that if I were asked to pay full price to play this course again, I wouldn't !

Friendly staff but entirely ruined by awful standard of the course. Greens were shabby at best. Given the availability of water one would think some could be diverted to the course. The society of which I was part will not be returning anytime soon.

Well,I didn't expect to be writing this.Played on Friday and what a shocking state it was.Cracked and diseased greens,rock hard as well.Hardly any grass on the greens and almost like straw as well.Was gonna come back next month to play 18 holes and have a indian meal next door but wont bother now.They have really let this place go,big time

What a great day to play golf, sunny weather, fast greens and 20 friends enjoying my Captains Awayday.
We had a lovely breakfast to start the day and some great golf was played and everyone was complimentary on what great value the day was.
Special thanks must go to Beth & Sam for organizing things for the day, the latter even acting as our 'Satnav' when roadworks just 100yds from the club prevented me from arriving via the normal route. Thanks Sam!
If you want a great day, playing golf on a challenging but fair course, looked after by friendly staff, then you will not be disappointed.

I arranged a golf society day on the 27/3/23. The few days prior were wet but the course stood up very well. This was exemplified as we were able to use buggies as required. We had 25 players attending and so that is a challenge catering wise. But the service for the bacon rolls, tea /coffee was very timely. The quality of the food and the service was very good.

We organise a golf memorial day once a year. On Saturday 23rd July '22 this was held at Stapleford Abbott's golf course. From the initial contact with Beth we knew it was going to be a successful day. Beth and her staff were so helpful it took any stress off of organising the day. On the actual day of the event a nice breakfast was included as well as superb ham, egg and chips after. The club house is quaint and attractive. Very good course for a society day as even the average golfer stands a chance. To summerize I would absolutely recommend you make Stapleford Abbott's gc your first choice. Pay them a visit you won't be disappointed. 10/10
