Be prepared for a hike full of nature. Learn about the history, bamboos & 300 year old trees. Please bring water shoes, hiking shoes or shoes you don’t mind getting wet or muddy (NO SANDALS), water, camera, snacks, and bathing suit. Remember, transportation not included.

This experience is a very authentic puertorican tour that offers unique and secret gems of the rainforest. The museum is visitor friendly! You pay a few dollars to enter. There are lovely art pieces made by local artists along with many artifacts. You’ll see historical movies of the island that are very interesting. It’s a great way to support the island community and learn about the culture. A nice stop on the way to Zoni Beach 🏖😊 Ample parking for your Jeep or Golf Cart.

Its important to understand the past to gain knowledge of the future. Culebra and Vieques were used by the US Navy for bombing ranges. It scarred families and landscape for decades. Several brave people over many years were able to pressure the US to abandon the practice. There is still live ordnance buried around the island. Loved the old photos and wildlife exhibits. The female docent was marvelous

This small museum is worth seeing, everyone should learn the history of Culebra and particularly the terrible treatment of the island and it's people by the US military over so many decades. In the end it is an uplifting story about citizens fighting for their rights and finally gaining control of their homeland. The museum will only take 2-3 hrs to thoroughly take in.
