What better way to see the flowing lava on the Big Island than from the air? Fly out of West maui airport (very small) and go over the center of Maui then along the water fall coast of the Big Island before heading to the lava fields. Every major site the pilot will fly over a few times so both... More

Got on the tour with a small group in a hericopter ride. I did like the closeness to the volcano. I brought camera and walking shoes, but it was not the itenary of the tour. Compared to the volcano air tour that I took from the Big Island, it is less drama and less fun. The one from the Big... More

Comparatively expensive ($425pp) fixed wing flight in a 6-seater Navajo light aircraft lasting about 135 minutes. Taking off from the Commuter Terminal of Kahului Airport (OGG) around 10am and thankfully back by 12.15. The current aircraft seats 7 including the pilot in leather seats in air conditioned "comfort", although on our flight the aircon was too fierce and we had... More

What an amazing flight!!! The thought of flying over a live volcano and to see the red lava was a bucket list item for both of us. The bonus to the flight is the views of waterfalls on Maui, that you can only see from air or sea. This is a must excursion when visiting Hawaii. They conveniently have pickups... More

Just stunning. A fantastic trip, well worth the price. I'd do it again tomorrow. Comfortable plane and knowledgeable pilot. A great way to see Maui and the big Island

I went back and forth about taking a plane tour while on Maui. The locals were buzzing about the red lava flow on the Big Island and many of them were taking off to see it for themselves. Apparently it's not often that the red lava is visible. There are many ways to get to the Big Island to get... More

It is something to see. It was 85 down by the ocean and when we went up there the temp was 55. Take a sweater if you plan to head up there.

We took this tour and we're pleased to sit on comfortable wide seats. We started at West Maui airport and had headsets to hear the pilot talk about what we were seeing. The tour route was as follows: north Maui, Pa'ia, Hana, cross the channel to Hawaii, east side waterfalls, eucalyptus forests, Hilo, lava flows, right over the volcano, west... More

We were staying on Maui and took the Royal Pacific Air tour which took us over to the Big Island. So we got to see another island and the activity at Kilauea. It was a nice 2+ hours tour. Beautiful to see the islands from the air! Really enjoyed it! Note of caution: if you suffer from motion sickness, be... More

We one the volcano tour with Royal Pacific. Captain Bill was awesome, we got views on both sides of the plane and we able to see the red glow. We love the trip and the plane was nice and comfortable. We call to arrange with Miki and she was so fantastic to deal with. I highly recommend this tour.
