Since I went for lunch to "The Palms Bistro" I wandered around in this amazing garden. Modern design, lush vegetation, perfect place for a wedding! Later I was told it is a 5 star Garden of National Significance: no wonder! I felt like on a Pacific Island. A special treat was the lunch right in this magnificient garden. It was... More

A friend recommended us to drop in for a coffee, and we were truly impressed with the beauty of the gardens, friendliness and professional manner of the new owners and delicious lime tart we had with a coffee. Very stylish building, gorgeous outdoor eating area. Now our favourite place to revive our flagging spirits on the long trip from Auckland... More

We took visitors to this cafe, and were impressed with the gardens...a very tranquil place. The iced coffee was average. , but meals other diners were having looked inviting.

We have been there a while ago and it is sad to see that the garden seems to be neglected. Parts of it isn't maintained anymore and the rest looked a bit rough.

The food was excellent although we had to wait a little for the food to arrive but when it did it was worth the wait.

The food was freshly prepared with imaginative flair to the menu. Some really interesting options to choose from and I was spoiled for choice. The restaurant is set in lovely gardens so you can sit outside if the weather is good.
