A good friend took my husband and I to this site and we were stunned by its beauty. The founders have devoted financial and physical resources to extensively clean up and landscape the property. Two soap stone quarries are now vessels for pools of water...More

Wonderful place to visit to learn more about the history of soapstone mining in Schuyler and native plants, and to be outside experiencing an easy walk around a reclaimed quarry area. This is a work in progress...displays being completed, gardens and plantings being developed...but already...More

We spent a beautiful afternoon walking the trails with a volunteer naturalist and learned a lot about native plants and the history of soapstone mining in Nelson County. The garden has limited hours so check their website.
