Took my 92 yr old Grandma for her Bday. Very disappointed, the Hamner family were removed from the board and now run by Time Warner Entertainment. The fallout occurred because TW was embellishing stories and the Hamner family only wanted things true to the real family or the show. The Hamner family removed everything they owned so lots of empty... More

After driving out of our way to check out Walton's Mountain Museum we were disappointed to find that they had changed their hours and were closed. Disappointed soon changed when we stopped the the Walton's Mountain General Store and the very nice proprietor filled us in on the area and told us where to find some great photo ops such... More

Only $8 and well worth the entrance charge. Spend an hour or so and view reproductions of the famous sets. Including the Walton's kitchen, living room, John Boy's bedroom, Ike's store and the Baldwin sister's lounge complete with still (the recipe machine). The tour started with an informative video about the making of the series and a bot of background on... More

This little museum was hard to find. Without a GPS I don't think we would have found it. In this museum they have selected rooms from the Walton show to display: the kitchen, the living room, John Boy's Room, as well as Ike Godsey's store and the Recipe Room. It is a fun place. They have books, toys, and all... More

The museum is a must if you are a Walton fan. Nothing fancy here. Just good memories of a great show that has passed the test of time. I happened to go the weekend of the 45th reunion so there was lots of activity in this out of the way town. The museum is located in the middle of no... More

What a wonderful weekend! Everyone we met that was involved with this event was friendly and gracious. My momma and I went for the weekend. We toured the museum on Friday before the festivities got underway. We spent sometime in the gift shop and purchased a couple tee-shirts and a coffee mug. I was impressed with how fairly priced everything... More

The staff are very friendly here, eager to assist you in any way and answer questions. You can walk through on your own and there is a movie shown at certain times. We had to skip the film on our visit. This is the place in my opinion for Walton fans not so much Hamner fans. However there are items... More

I grew up watching the reruns with my family. At the end of the day you aren't actually seeing it as it is on the show, other then the movie set, but you can appreciate the similarities when taking in the whole experience. There is some bad blood between the museum and the owner of the store on the corner.... More

Interesting look at the show and how it was brought to life, its a bit pricey but once you see how far out you need to get there you not going to complain about the price. The store doubles as a gift shop.
