The Colonial Theatre has a very special place in the history of our community and in the lives of many of our residents. It has weathered many storms and economic crises, as well as years of neglect at various times throughout its history. The Colonial is one of the few remaining vaudeville theatres of its era in Virginia and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

We have enjoyed several productions here, both musicals and plays. It is a fun place to see local actors and singers, as well as attend programs with professional entertainers who have traveled to perform here.

This fully restored gem of a theatre in downtown South Hill is the perfect place to enjoy either type of live entertainment. There's plenty of free parking nearby, the theatre seats nearly 400 in a main floor and the balcony. The acoustics are outstanding, so...More
