SO happy you enjoyed your stay in a camping cabin at Lake Anna State Park. The park is packed in the summer so a visit in the spring or fall is great for a more peaceful visit. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and share your experience with potential park guests. I hope you can make... More

This is a nice state park, but because of heavy use is very hard to take advantage of it facilities. The park has nice beachs and very limited cabins. Boat ramps could be better.

My wife and I visited Lake Anna State Park on a sunny week day in early October. Whilst we were there an event was taking place - a Quadathlon with cyclists riding up and down the entrance road. We paid our $4 day fee (honesty box payment so have cash with you) and parked right up by the beach area.... More

Large park, super location. This park has good boat ramp, plenty of picknic tables and hiking trails. Clean camping areas and cabins are available.

The staff was very efficient at the campground office. We had reservations and when I walked in to register they simply handed me a packet with car passes, campground pass and quick words of instruction with no hassles. Campsites were clean with large pads for tent camping. The campground hosts drove around in a golf cart selling firewood bundles. The... More

Lake Anna State Park We stayed there on September 11, 2016. The sites are nice, fairly level, and clean, but most are back-in. The pull through sites were mostly occupied on this off-season stay, so I expect they are difficult to get during peak times and weekends. There were plenty of back-in sites available. We had electric and water hookups... More

I took my four year old grandson & eleven year old granddaughter to go swimming. Very nice swimming area with a lifeguard. The playground area is very nice too. We had a great time.

My family and I have been going here for years. This trip was horrible. At the office we checked in with Ms. Joanne and she was very pleasant. My sister asked her about directions to a movie theater, as Ms. Joanne started to explain to us this younger girl comes from the back and interrupts her and begins talking to... More

Virginia has some of the best state parks in the US. We visited this state park in our travel trailer for 3 nights. The sites are wonderful and the walking trails and facilities are very nice. This park also has a beach area off a great inlet on Lake Anna. The beach area is clean and the entry area is... More

Not sure why some folks are disgruntled with this place! I have camped in plenty of state parks in the North East (NY, NJ, MA & PA) and for a state park, Lake Anna is by far the best one I have visited! (Maybe my bar is set low but...) We rented a bunk bed cabin (aka camper cabin for... More
