This is a very historic area which includes this church. There is a very old graveyard which is along side and to the rear of the church. The day I was there, the church was closed, so be sure to check the hours of operation....More

I was very excited to see Aquia Church after visiting Government Island, where the stones to build it were quarried. It is a majestic and stately church. The grounds are spacious around it as the church community has built additional buildings to fit their needs....More

Beautiful church. Property contains old cemetery. Like that the present congregation works hard to maintain historic integrity.

Very old church - from 1757 but it gorgeous and remarkably still in good condition. The church itself has all of the remnants of an old church, long wooden pews, high ceilings and stained glass. The surrounding gardens and cemetery are very nicely landscaped and...More

I have not attended services at this church, however, it is steeped in history and dates back to the 1600. The staff is very knowledgeable of the history. The minister gives great tours of the building and it grounds. They often sponsor history events.
