Worth the visit along the VA beach boardwalk

Fascinating museum to learn about the rescues performed by the brave Coast Guardsmen who patrolled this area. Well worth the stop-in and to visit the cute gift shop.

This museum is located right on the Boardwalk. Entry fee is minimal. Museum guide was quite knowledgeable and friendly. I learned much about the ingenuity of early life savers who risked their own lives to save those aboard foundering ships. We left with a new awareness and sense of pride in this particular part of history - selflessness that was... More

My husband and I are staying in a hotel near the Old Coast Guard Station, and in our travels up and down the East Coast we've had the chance to visit other historic Coast Guard stations - at Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and also on Hutchinson Island in Florida. We enjoy them very much and this Old Coast Guard Station is... More

This old station is on the boardwalk and easy to visit. Well worth a short stop to learn more about the area's history

Nice and nostalgic business. Good Customer Service, not pushy for building tour. Prices reasonable. Bought a few sea shell items, Sea Time Tea (really good taste), other souvenirs that's not in other souvenir shops. Nice visit. Will return in summer 2017

I didn't find anything interesting about this place! If you like to read lots of facts on placards next to exhibits you might like it. There is an admission fee which, since it was Veteran's Day, we did not have to pay. I would have hated to pay to see something so boring. The fact that this is an old... More

Was enjoyable and educational and the gentleman who gave the tour was very good. Some displays were hands on and photos of the past help convey the story the rescue men in row boats.

We stumbled across this jusy walking the boardwalk and thought it would offer some great coast guard history, yes it did have some interesting artifacts and pictures i was highly offended by the admission prices and gift shop prices were way way to overpriced. I honestly felt like you got way more history on the streets for free with the... More
