Watched the Dolphins play while I sat in the sand eating my lunch from Wendy's. $2 domestics at a bar by the pier It was the perfect day Make sure you leave the boardwalk parking by 6 p.m. otherwise you get locked in and are forced to illegally drive on the boardwalk to get out of the parking lot.

Start at King Neptune at 31st Street. There's a parking garage right there. Take pictures, then rent bikes, a Surry or just walk in either direction. Clean beach, lots to do, biking, fishing, roller blading, ferris wheel, exercise course. We saw dolphins and a sea otter from the shore in February.

We visited this boardwalk in the off season. It's nice because it hugs the beach so you can walk on it and feel like you are on the beach without all the sand. The hotels and restaurants along the boardwalk are classy. The only problem could be parking.

It is a beautiful three mile section by the sea! Somehow, I was expecting it to be tacky, something like Atlantic City, with cheap shops. Instead, it was elegant and understated! The shops are nearby on Atlantic Avenue, a block off the beach. The Boardwalk is a gem!

Three miles of paved boardwalk for the beach walkers as well as an adjacent paved corridor for bicyclists! A great concept of separation yet so convenient.

The board walk was well maintained, clean and wide enough to accommodate the foot traffic. Loved the bike, skate lane.
