During our recent visit we stopped at Merchants Square twice. First time was our first day on vacation to look around since we first visited in 1999. Not a lot had changed, still a wonderful assortment of specialty shops. The second time we came back...More

A wide selection of shops in the square...fashion, candy, pewter, memorabilia, toys and convenient parking behind and near shops. Several restaurants in square and within a short walk. Best to visit in Spring, Fall or Winter as you can avoid the crowds and hot weather.

This area has shops and places to eat. Walking is easy because no cars are allowed. Fun to sit and people watch.

Great shopping area with a good variety of stores. I particularly enjoyed the souvenir shops. Nearby parking is only $1 an hour (cash). Most places close at 9 on weekends.

No tickets required for the shops in Merchant Square and also you can go into Colonial Williamsburg and go into shops and eateries without having to purchase a ticket also. Have fun.

There is parking in the Merchant Square area but it either costs or is limited to an hour or two. There are a lot of food options there though. What we did was park at the Visitors Center, walked around Williamsburg until we... More
