Bellingham has more natural resources, parks and outdoor adventures than many other similar sized towns. But when you want to get out, hike, enjoy nature and just be with your family this is our families favorite when we visit Bellingham!

We love the trails at the park, the kids playgrounds, the falls, and upper wading and swim area. Water was cold but refreshing. Good to go mid week mid day. Not crowded at all. Washroom located by middle small kids playground. Hatchery was closed during our visit; not sure if this is temporary or permanent. We love this park and... More

A gen of a park in outskirts of town. The waterfalls were spectacular- full of old growth trees and nice walking trails. It's a great nature escape 10 Minutes from downtown. Highly recommend

This park is right near a relative and I've always loved to walk here. Lots of trails and accesses from Lake Whatcom to Woburn St. Fish hatchery is in here and some impressive Chuckanut Sandstone boulders, including those forming the mail falls. There is also a lovely WPA Stone Bridge near the fish hatchery. For neighbors it's a perfect walking... More

This is great for solo walking, and fun times with family or friends. The trail is nice and shaded for the most part.

Great trails with several waterfalls and beautiful NW forest. You can go for miles if you want. Connects to the Railroad trail to take you to the Barkley neighborhood and Sunnyland, as well as to Lake Whatcom in the other direction. Park at the lot off of Silver Beach Road (closest to Whatcom Falls) or at Bloedel Donovan Park (you... More

I've been to this park a few times and the falls were a trickle after a more dry summer. We went after a heavy rain and it was beautiful! Great paths and a popular park for hikers and dog walkers.

We had a couple of hours to kills before crossing the border back into Canada. and went to see these falls. We did not know that we had entered a back entrance above the Falls, but this gave us a trip past the fish hatchery. We could hear the falls though and carried on walking to towards them. What a... Record breaking rains in October make the falls a pleasant way to appreciate the extra rainfall. Conveniently located only 15 minutes off I-5 freeway this is a great place to stretch your legs on road trip through Bellingham. Parking is adjacent to falls. There is also a fish hatchery nearby and many trails and picnic areas if you have time for... More
