good place for a short easy walk. should take no more than an hour and it is level and easy to navigate. there can be muddy places after it rains. the camano trails assoc does a good job of maintaining the trails.

This is a nice beach on Camano Island with several recreation options: birding, swimming, kayaking, hiking (try the hobbit trail), beach combing and kite boarding. I have been coming here since I was a boy and have always had a good time. Camano island is...More

Iverson Spit is one of the loveliest beaches on Camano. We go there (we live on the island) several times a year. We love its long expanse of sandy shore and the wild straggles of driftwood piled up everywhere from the seasonal tides and storms....More

We stayed for a week in one of the beach houses on Iverson Beach and walked a few times down to the Preserve. So, we did not use the parking areas that other reviewers have referenced. Iverson Beach Road, however is quiet and there are...More

The sand is reasonably hard and its easy to walk a great distance at low tide. Not the easiest place to find, however. Be sure go below the speed limit to the parking area -- weekends on the island are all about families and folks...More

This is a great area for a picnic, walk through the trails and also a nice flat beach access when the kids can play in the warm waters of Port Susan.

It's hard to say. There is always a lot of driftwood here. Sometimes you can find a cleared path to the beach, and others you will need to climb. The walking trail is level, but it is not directly on the beach.
