Easy hike with beautiful views of Rainier and surrounding mountains. There are picnic tables at the top and a restroom as well as the fire lookout itself.

We just went to Sun Top and the view is just incredible. I cannot explain the beauty of the panoramic views at this place. Went early July and it had incredible wildflowers. The Nice thing was the gates were open when we went so it...More

We had our son's wedding on top of Sun Top Lookout (had to get special permission). The view is 360 degrees around. We were able to drive up (had to get permission), but if one is walking, it's not far from the parking area to...More

It takes a good while to get up this far and a 4 wheel vehicle helps. You could possibly encounter brush on the way that could scrape your vehicle, but this should be off of the main road. You can see for a very long...More

Bugs and bees everywhere!!! They were dive bombing our car as soon as we parked in the parking lot. Once we started the hike they slowly went away. The hike was short and the view was amazing!!! Nice to eat lunch at the top.

This is off of highway 410 and you will drive up forest service s roads for several miles. It can be real dusty. The view can be amazing on clear days.

While not well signposted, this is a hidden gem, a quiet, old fashioned lookout with spectacular views of Mt Rainier and the surrounding mountains. Only around 7 miles off the main road, would recommend an SUV (or rental car) to go up the gravel road....More
