The short half mile hike to go see this very old lighthouse which it appears that they're starting to work on it and restore it to its original looks what a great day beautiful wind was blowing like crazy but all in all it is well worth going to see

So windy today, about blew us away. Nice easy stroll to the light house. And very nice view of North Jetty.

Just a short hop over the Pacific ocean by bridge from Oregon to visit a stoic lighthouse called North Head. This lighthouse was used to guide ships to the Columbia River mouth. A short walk to a beautiful scene. This lighthouse overlooking the ocean is a don't miss in my book!

Two routes (trails) to the lighthouse or a loop. The one to the left is gravel and is the most direct route to the lighthouse which is fenced off for repairs. Still well worth the view and walk. If you continue on the path becomes cement and has stairs and you go by the caretakers house and vacation rentals which... More

The hike to the lighthouse was beautiful and we were surprised to see it staffed and working! We poked our heads in to check out the equipment!

If you're not capable of hiking to the Cape Disappointment lighthouse, go here instead. The trail is short and easy and ends in a good view of the coast. I also recommend the other short trail that comes off the same parking lot, which takes you through some nice forest to a view of Long Beach.

Lighthouse is reached by a short, slightly downhill, paved trail. When we were there lighthouse was closed off, due to restoration work, but it was still worth the walk just for the view. On the way down to the light you will pass the keepers residence, which are in exceptional condition. The trail is lined with trees and plants and... More

The walk to this Lighthouse is much shorter and less steep than getting to the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. Ample parking; will need a Discover Pass or pay for parking. Beautiful walk through very tall fir trees and grasses with several nice views of the ocean enroute. North Head Lighthouse undergoing renovations so closed to the public until sometime in 2017.... A really good walk/path out to the lighthouse. Make sure to pause at Waikiki beach and take in the view from there. Then off to the lighthouse and the views!
