Displaying over 7000 nutcrackers, the Nutcracker Museum is a unique experience for visitors. People have come from all over the world specifically to view this unique collection. You’ll find nutcrackers from Roman times to modern day and nutting...more
We took our grandchildren and they had a wonderful time on a nutcracker scavenger hunt. Looking for a baseball player nutcraker, or the smallest nutcracker, or a dancing nutcracker kept them busy for at least an hour. An unimaginable number of nutcrackers of every size...More

Hi Jeff, so glad you enjoyed the museum and the kids enjoyed the hunts. We love watching the looks on kids faces!
Neat place to go see. Make sure to put aside a few hours, you will need it if you want to see everything! Old lady who runs the place is quite something, bit cranky. Overall a cool experience to see so many nutcrackers in one...More
Anyone that knows me, knows I love nutcrackers. I was completely overwhelmed by how many this place has! It was amazing! They didn’t just have the decorative ones you see at Christmas but medal ones. It was all so organized. They even had a nutcracker...More

So glad you enjoyed your visit! Our curator has done such an amazing job!
Such a worthwhile place to visit. This is the best collection of anything I have ever seen. It is so well displayed and there are so many items you could spend a day here. The lady who began the collection many years ago was there...More

Why not absorb and enjoy the Bavarian culture while in Levenworth....and the nutcracker museum seemed like a natural way to do it while walking the streets. BUT... I wasn't willing to pay an admission to walk through a "museum" that would take only minutes.
My first issue - less a concern - is that this is not a museum. A museum is place that curates its materials and provides interpretation. Museums, in other words, teach us something new or re-frame our understanding of art, history, or the topic it...More

For the enjoyment of our visitors, most of the wooden toy soldiers displayed in the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum are grouped by special events, holidays, sports, or various festivals. Most of the antiques are labeled by origin and date. Two books published by the museum are...More
