The springs are a part of the Trail of the Shadows, which is across the street from Longmire. There is a large parking lot, from which you may see deer at certain times of day; we did. The trail itself is an oval. It may...More

There is an easy, circular trail around the lake/bog formed by the springs. It passes by the original Longmire springs and lodge where there are historic markers explaining some of the history of the place. The trail is very well marked and very well maintained....More

The spring is pretty gooped up with debris at this point. A nice waypoint on the Trail of Shadows, but I wouldn't make a trip just for this.

The historic spa springs are located on a short (3/4 mile) track at Longmire. It’s an easy walk with lots to see - we saw some deer feeding just off the path.

There isn't much left to see here at the historic hot springs but the loop hike through the area is spectacular. What a wonderful quiet place for a walk.

We did this hike in July and it was a nice hike with little to no elevation gain. This trail is historic and shows where the old building and springs are. There are good views of Mount Rainier from the trail, too.

Located on the Trail of Shadows, this is .2 of a mile from the National Park Inn. It's an easy walk - try it first thing in the morning - calm, cool, and no other people.

We were looking forward to our rustic night in the park but I have to say this place was disappointing. Coming from the UK we are used to old buildings but the room was very basic, cramped and noisy (not the peace and tranquility we...More
