We go to Spencer Spit State Park almost every year - I think we've been every year except one in the last ten years. We typically car camp, with bikes, which is great fun. This year, we boated there (launching in Deception Pass) and camped in the "walk-in" sites. There are mooring buoys for boats. (first come first serve on... More

During the summer you have to make reservations far ahead. Nice camp sites with areas to explore and walk down to the beach. Set up more fore tent camping. The only down side is the bathrooms don't have showers.

After hiking down a short trail to the Spit I walked out to it and enjoyed the quietness of the area. The scenery is breath-taking. Eagles were flying back and forth from one tree to another.

Take time to explore the beach, trails, and enjoy the views: from along the water, as well as the woods above.

We spent the day on Lopez Island and made this one of our stops. The history of the area was very interesting. It was a nice hike down and out to the end of the "spit". Look for some interesting fish along your walk. Make sure you stay on the same trail out and back since you could wind up... More

We stopped here on a day long bike ride on Lopez and were glad we did. It was sunny, warm and there was hardly anyone there at the end of September. The marsh had a lot of birds and the beach was nice to walk on although it's pretty rocky.

Beautiful beach. A bit of a steep hill if you are out of shape. But worth it when you get there. You need a Discover pass if you have a car to get in since it is a State Park

Labor day weekend review-Absolutely beautiful park and beach but if your looking for some peace and quite you might be shocked to find that you will be woken up at 6 am by the piercing screens of children..everywhere,no joke. Parents, what ever happened to be seen but not heard. Seriously. I am not one that likes to sleep in really... More
