If for some reason you find yourself in Lynden Washington this is a place you should not skip. We had a few hours to kill before check in time at our lodging and had a coupon for the Lynden Pioneer Museum. So..we went. What a fabulous surprise! Interesting exhibits. Some needed to be completed/information provided to better explain what was there. Some information provided didn't correlate with the exhibit.

This is absolutely one of the finest small town museums we have visited in this or any other country. This was our second visit and, believe me, there will be a third. They won my loyalty when they decided to admit veterans free of charge. There is something here from every facet of local pioneer life. I especially enjoyed the... More

This is an astounding museum with a recreation of Lynden in the 1800's as well as odd items like antique carriages, cars, farm equipment, musical instruments, millinery etc My favorite was the Victorian exhibits, the dairy and WWI letters and M60 Patton. My other half enjoyed the beautifully restored carriages, clocks, dolls and historical write ups Well worth the visit

I was totally amazed at the abundance of relics from pioneer life that this small town museum contained! Just entering the lobby I was greeted by kind and knowledgeable people who cheerfully gave me instructions for the self guided tour. I wonder how many square feet are in this building but it is huge. Everything is set up in categories... More

The museum is quite large with multiple floors and lots of different rooms set up. They had everything from old cars, buggies, and wagons (some in better shape than others), to farming equipment, to church items, to an... More

Any time I have company from out of state I always take them to the Lynden Pioneer Museum. It is so well set-up, you will love all the past years articles and they even have small rooms set up with barber shop, printing machines, soda bar, old cars, old horse and buggy displays, etc. You just can't help but saying...
