Dissapointing

Great course layout, challenging even if the course conditions were good. That's the big thing, course conditions. Watering would be nice. Sandtraps can feel like concrete when they dry out after the morning watering. Grass around the greens is hard. The time to play this course is early in the morning but when the wind comes up it dries up like a bone and taking a divot is risky on the hands, making control iffy Head pro is nice, staff friendly, but some of the locals stare at you like you don't belong. It would be a great course if they took care of it better.

Wonderful challenging course but nothing that will feel like a putt putt course challenge

Nice course

Well groomed and challenging without being ridiculous. The greens are a bit slow but not annoying. It's a long course but they have a unique score card that offers 6 different course slope ratings that accommodates golfers of all handicaps. When you are done, they have a good restaurant for sandwiches and beverages.

Basin Beauty
Apr 2016 • Friends
One of the most scenic courses in Eastern Washington. This is a links style course that's well bunkered with water hazards on several holes. The par 3 twelfth hole is a challenge with water down the right, traps, rough and OB on the left. The finishing 18 rewards the straight hitter with a very birdable hole plus beautiful views of the lake and the clubhouse. The Pro is the exceptional Bill Porter a former PGA player The Pointe has a nice restaurant with outdoor seating for the upcoming glorious Columbia Basin summer evenings. Moses Lake is well stocked with new motels. Make a golf weekend here, you won't be disappointed.

Clubhouse staff very helpful and friendly. Course was in good shape and enjoyable to play. Hole nine is a beauty. I will be back in August.

Great course that is a little off the freeway running through town. Driving range is pretty good, grasses are green, love coming back and golfing here.

Great Staff, Good Golf, Gorgeous Views-for Moses Lake

Bill Porter does a great job with this course, considering it history of always seeming to be for sale and the restaurant going through more drama than a day time soap. The greens are always in good shape. The sand, of which I know only too well, gets a bit stiff. The fairways generally are in good shape, with the occasional oops. The rough, another of my frequent stops, is sometimes too high, particularly right on the edge of the fairway. Frustrating to just bump off the fairway and end up with a lost ball. Recently this has gotten better. If I were better, I wouldn't know about this problem. Some of the other reviewers talk about the ninth hole. Truly an attraction. However, I personally enjoy fifteen even more. The elevated green with bunkers around always gives me fits, but I enjoy the challenge. Is this a PGA course? No, just a nice place to play in generally good weather. An even more fun place to play when the winds howl, which does happen occasionally. Might be a tad overpriced for the territory, but what isn't. Most of the folks I've met there are just happy to get out and have some sunshine and a round of golf, with maybe a sandwich and a beverage, assuming the restaurant drama hasn't overflowed. Most of the pain of this course is self-inflicted. Hit it straight and enjoy the view. Hit it sideways and you'll be looking down too much to see anything other than tall grass.

Great Restaurant

My wife and I eat at The Point twice a month. She likes the crab stuffed halibut and I like the steaks, all of them! You can get private tables or group tables. The wait staff is always great. I believe it is a good value for the money!

Could be better.

When I go to a golf course, I expect green grass everywhere. Lots of itead areas. The greens were nice, some dead spots on the green. The 9th hole is a treat. Driving range is ok. Ive been to many courses foreign and domestic.
I am surprised the hype of this course wasnt exactly impressive. but its something to do, very quiet and relaxing. Great food though...

Good golf, great staff, needs a few improvements

This is a links style course that is fairly long from the blue tees but is a wide open course that forgives bad tee shots. The condition was good and the rough a bit long. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Frankly, while the course was fun to play, it wasn't all that memorable with the exception of hole 9. The green fees were on the high end of mid range ($60 with cart). For this price I'd expect more than one port a potty on the course. Also, the restaurant is closed on Monday and the only food available were candy bars - this is unacceptable for a golf course with this proclamation of high quality. At least cold sandwiches or hot dogs should be available.

I'd stop by again if I was traveling through the area but wouldn't make a special trip.
