Came up to see the tulips. We had no idea where to start and the people at our hotel desk weren't much help, so we thought OK, Tulip Town sounds like a good place to start.
When we arrived to purchase our tickets, we were informed that they had a flood and the tulip areas were far smaller than previous years. In actuality, there was just over one acre of blooms. One. A fraction of what they usually have, apparently. We understand that things happen beyond your control, but to charge the same full admission price as you would on any other year is definitely not good business practice. With the long lines and crowds, a reduction in the admission prices would have been a show of good will to the community and public. We have never been here and didn't know what to expect, so we said well ok let's go in. In hindsight, it was the wrong choice on our part.
The walkways around the bloom are extremely difficult to navigate. If you have any kind of mobility issues, you won't be able to go any further than the road to the field and part way across the front of the rows. A quick trip through with one of the tractors or loaders they use to pull the wagons would even out the surfaces and make it easier and safer to navigate. Forget going with your wheelchair, or motorized chair, you won't be able to use them there.
There were a couple of vendors in the pavilion, nothing special. One food truck with popcorn and donuts. And very long lines.
We found out after that visit that there are so many other places here to see the flowers, and many are just along the road!
The flowers they did have blooming were beautiful. But at $15 per person, (with a FIRM NO when asked about military discount), not the best use of our cash.

I was excited to go with my wife. She had been year after year prior to the Covid break. I order tickers online well over a month prior to our going. We went to RoosenGarden the day before our visit to Tulip Town. I wanted to purchase some things at the RG, but my wife said we should wait for out trip to tulip town. Boy was that a mistake. TT had nothing worth buying. The displays were bare and the tulips displayed in the pavilion were wilted under the very dim lighting. They had NO potted tulips for sale that had opened, so you had no clue as to what the blooms would look like. We spoke to one of the people at the main desk and were offered several excuses, New Owners, 500 local visitors the day before bought everything (yea I bought that one). When we stated that $15 was way too much admission for what they had there, we were told that RoosenGarden set the admission prices ??? I would never recommend that the Tulip Town be visited by any one... What a Rip off.

If you like being mislead and ripped off then go to this place. We went to Tulip Town on April 5. I totally understand that it is early in the season and the fields may not be showing a lot of color. When we bought our tickets, they had a sign up saying only 15% of the fields were in bloom. Having said that, all of their advertisements stated they had a 5,000 square foot building filled with vendors and places to eat/snack. This is why we decided to go ahead and go. When we got there we went into an almost empty building. There was only one food vendor who was selling $10 hot dogs. There was one good sized vendor selling a lot of nice stuff, most of it high priced and one small vendor selling sweatshirts, hats etc. advertising Tulip Town. All of the items were the same design and basically just had words. If they had told us that most of the vendors would not be set up for another week or two and that the tulips were not in bloom yet, and then just charged us $5 each or let us in free that would have been different. So we basically spent $30 to enter an almost vacant building to purchase some small items for $30 that we could have got in town for $20. One of the gals working there told my wife that most of the vendors won't be there for another week so they obviously knew this ahead of time. Also, obviously, we won't be back and we will certainly let our friends know of our experince.

We visited last weekend (04/30) of tulips season. Near the ticket booth when we asked where is the tulips patch (we couldn't see from that place) and how big is that. The person at the counter said it's beyond all the barns and it's big enough. But when we went inside (after paying $15 for each) we saw that the patch was very small. And the guy who was holding a board asking people not to enter patch was very rude.
They should have reduced the price when they have clearly taken out 90% of the patch or they should have been outright clear about it when people asked before buying the tickets.
Well, it's on us thinking that people don't deceive in a small town like that. But a lesson learnt.

We visited here a little too early in the year, so there were not so many tulips in bloom. We still enjoyed ourselves as there were some very beautiful tulips close in to the main area. We also took the tractor ride around the small area where there were flowers. The gardens surrounding the windmill were very pretty and there is a large barn-like structure where you can order tulips, purchase snacks, and hang around with murals of the Netherlands. I suspect a couple of weeks later the fields would have been teeming with tulips.

Very small plot of tulips to see now. Trolly took less than 10 min to go around the small area. Long, long lines just to get into parking. Do not recommend. I'm sure you can just drive around the area and see better fields.

We purchased tickets for this past weekend-- really Friday from 11-2. It was PACKED. As soon as we arrived an employee began humiliating people in line who weren't ready. Yelling. YELLING. We have a lot of foreign people in the area who need a little extra time to process our rules and systems. This employee dressed in black and pink YELLED at people who didn't understand and actually put her hands on a couple of folks. I'm so very ashamed that I didn't say or do something immediately. I'm so very embarrassed.
Please do not give this place your money. They aren't appreciative and they are unwilling to be kind to people who don't understand.

Do not waste a day or even a minute of your life at this place. The NEW owners (new as of a couple of years ago) have ZERO interest in creating a pleasant experience for you or making sure customers return. The rude way the owners themselves walk around and treat the customers, it seems they are trying to make as big of a profit as fast as possible and are not in this for the long haul. Prepare to be overcharged, experience overcrowded fields, yelled at, yelled at some more, and yelled at some more. It was bad. Roozengarde is still awesome. Go there instead.

The tulips are beautiful, however for 2022, 80 percent of the fields were flooded out during the winter so the displays were limited to small areas.
I’m rating this low since the entrance fee was still $15 per person with the company only posting at the kiosk that the fields were flooded and crops were destroyed. No viewing discount was made for the season despite the small amount of tulips to be viewed.

Unfortunately, Tulip Town had a big flooding which wiped out 80% of their usual crop of flowers (as stated by the person at the ticket booth). They are still charging full price, but they only have a very small area of tulips. I feel bad for this farm, but I can't recommend going here to see the tulips this year in 2022.

We will be there the second week of July 2019. Is this place open and are there any tulips?
Written 21 June 2019
Sorry, the tulip festival is open with fields full of tulips from April 1st through April 30th. Look up tulip town and find the website to see if their gift shop is open in July

We will be going through this area at the beginning of June is there anything to see worth stopping for?

Nearby towns are really fun to visit: LaConner and Anacortes.

No. They "Top" the flowers so the bulbs get bigger. You will still be able to buy tulips as the commercial market flowers are grown in huge greenhouses at the Washington Bulb, AKA Roozenguarrd, for year around sales. Haggen Grocery has flowers all the time. And I grew up next the Washington Bulb Farm, so I have a pretty good grasp on their operations.

Can I see tulips in February ?
Written 21 January 2019
Is there an entrance fee? During the month of April when is usually the peak time or the best times to visit? I will be traveling from central Alabama and want to take in as much of the beautiful tulips as I possibly can. I would appreciate any and all information you may be able to share with me.
Thank you so much,
Roberta McConnell, Smiths Station, Alabama

Yes, there is an entrance fee. I think it's $6 or $7. Also go see the tulips at Roozengaarde - you can find a map at any business in the area.

Will be in Seattle May 3-5 will we still be able to see the tulips?
Written 28 April 2018
We are going back tomorrow. They aren’t going to chop the tulips during peak bloom. Check their website, they give updates on a regular basis.
Written 30 April 2018
The inside building is ok for walking outside was muddy and can be uneven with the dirt puddles. However they do have a tractor with a big wagon attached to take people around the whole tulip area.
Written 27 April 2018
Did you go there around End May? I will driving pass there around May 26th, 2018. I want to see if I can still see Tulips.
Please advise.
Written 27 January 2018
Unless things stay really cold for awhile yet, I don’t think the tulips will last until late May. The blooms usually peak in April but in 2016, it was late March since it had been so warm so early.
