Missed The Car, But Still A Nice Park
Aug 2020
Flintstone Park is the smaller of the 2 waterfront parks in Oak Harbor, but it still a nice visit. We ate our lunch here one day with great views of the water. I came back a second day to walk the paths. Both times I was looking for the Flintstone car and did not go far enough. It is a nice park though. A couple of interpretive signs explaining the nature and history of the area. There are remnants of the old pier and a pier one can usually walk onto, but was closed off when we visited. Great spot for the gulls though. The path does lead to nearby Windjammer Park. Flintstone Park does make a fun spot to spend some time in.

This is a very small spot...Lovely but lately also be aware of your surroundings!

This is a 'stones throw' from my home. This area hosts a picnic table and a small pier that you can walk out onto. There are condos right beside this park. The stone 'sculpture' is fun for kids to sit in and there is (or was anyway) a beautiful memorial there as well. This is part of a 'Heritage trail that runs all along the waterfront and honors our vets and service members and first responders. Be aware though that this park is also right across the street from the main Harbor Station bus transfer location. Sadly, in the last couple of years this has also been a location for some criminal activities and folks who are homeless with mental health and addiction problems..so be aware of this potential... This park ins the entrance to the waterfront area where the fireworks take place at Fourth of July...and we always have great fireworks here in Oak Harbor.

Good place to meet

Hold Tai Chi practice classes here occasionally. Right on the beach and easily accessible. Soft grass and level land.

A Small Park With Big Attractions
Mar 2020 • Couples
This park, though small, has a lot going for it. There is a beautiful small beach, a floating dock in season, very nice trees which have blooms in season, a picnic shelter with power outlets, restrooms with flush toilets, grand views of Oak Harbor (water) and some of the distance North Cascades Mountains. It is at the beginning/end of a boardwalk along the beach to ball fields and the larger city beach park. Then there is the reason for this park’s name: the stone car that is much like the car that the Flintstone family drove. (Smile). It is fun for all ages to sit in the car.

Yes this is a very nice little park to bring the kids to and get a picture of them in the Car. In the summer it's very beautiful.

Flintstone Car
Jul 2019
Not much to see here. The cement Flinstone car was the best park about the park. It was pretty boring other than that attraction.

Waterfront Park and Pathway Around the Inlet and Bay
Sep 2018 • Couples
Flintstone Park is a nice little park to stop and take a walk along the water, depending if it is Low or High tide, will get to see the Water or Bottom of the Bay. There is a walkway that stretches for quite a ways, if you want to take a nice walk. There are also benches to allow for break or just sitting and watching. Towards the main street, there is a cement Flintstone car, for those who are old enough to remember the Flintstones, you can sit in a have your picture taken. There is also an Pizza place (Alfie's) that is across the park if you want to grab something to eat and have a view as well. Nothing overly special, but nice little park for a walk ....

Nothing intersting to this park except the cement car, and the under construction windjammer park. DISAPOINTED.

The Flintstone
Jul 2018 • Couples
If you remember or enjoyed The Flintstone, check this place out. There is a cement Fred Flintstone Car, get in and have picture taken. It is different, brings a smile to your face and a laugh.

Cute little park
Jul 2018 • Friends
Adjacent to Windjammer Park, this little park has some benches, a little dock and the flintstone mobile. Not much to it.
