We've lived in the PNW since 1972, but never went under the bridge. The captain and crew were welcoming and informative. Although it's only an hour trip, it felt much longer for all that we saw and heard. We are returning for sure!

The boat ride was good but not what was promised. We were told that the ride included history, wildlife, and trivia. There was little history, little wildlife, no trivia and not as detailed a ride as we were told at the visitors center at the...More

Had an amazing time on the speed boat around Deception Pass. Staff were knowledgeable about whales and other wildlife spotted on the tour. Recommended highly even if you're a local!

Tour guides were very informative (and funny). Had a wonderful time; saw dolphins and sea lions. Great fun. Enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend it to anyone.

I signed up for Deception Pass Tour's last gray whale watching tour of the season for 2016. It was a last minute decision made at 6:15 am on a Saturday. I'm so glad I did it! We had good luck with the whales--found them quickly...More

From "togging up" in the special hooded coveralls thoughtfully provided for warmth, to stepping back ashore, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our whale watch tour with Deception Pass Tours. We had a beautiful sunny afternoon for the very scenic tour. Water, trees, views of...More

The cones are huge but over priced, they were out of 4 flavors, the service was rude. Just not worth the effort to pull in. I hope the tours they offer are much better.More

If the weather is poor does the boat have cover to protect the guests from rain?

Answer
Response from DeceptionP | Property representative |
While we have a cover for the boat, we typically will only use it about 1 time per year as the showers are normally short lived here in the rain shadow, and the cover restricts the viewing area. Once installed, it must be... More

Is this tour on the open ocean or in an area protected from waves?

Response from DeceptionP | Property representative |
There are two tours, the One Hour Jet Boat Tour takes place in a relatively protected area. The Captain would be able to notify you in advance if there are waves, which would be kicked up on windy days. On the Whale... More
