I toured the Palouse Discovery Center looking for ways to make museum displays more hands-on and interactive - and boy did I go to the right place. There are no dusty exhibits sitting on dusty shelves in this place! I can see why my elementary-aged granddaughter loves it so much. There's something here for every child, even those not particularly interested in science. In fact, I think a trip to the Center would awaken an interest in science even in the most disinterested child. It's a wonderful asset to Pullman!…

While my two nieces had fun visiting the DSC, even they commented to us that more than half of the exhibits were broken and/or in disrepair. The staff were super friendly (I assume they're students doing this as a part-time job), but the actual exhibits lacked in substance.

I have worked in two science centers as a program coordinator. We have taken our son to several events here. We just returned from the third event... it was mediocre and not very engaging. I will say they have hard working volunteers cleaning cages and helping. Many of the exhibits and interpretive stations are broken, and have been for at least a couple years. They should have been taken out long ago. I wish the staff would take initiative and clean up, and work on improving it. I know they receive funding and they seem well staffed (I may be wrong but there is usually three people behind the desk) The place I worked at before actually had staff volunteering to work on interpretive stations while they weren't busy....just a thought. Sorry I can't be more positive, but this town doesn't have very many places for young kids to go in the winter time and this center could do much better if it was improved.…

This is a great place for third and forth graders, but not good for much older than that. Although, their brain puzzles are interesting and hard.

We were here about 5 years ago and since then, the exhibits are even better. The staff was friendly and helpful. We spent about 2 hours and our 4 kids didn't want to leave. We'll be back!
