Another of Washington's beautiful state parks. Tall trees and lush under growth . Numerous trails to walk and clean facilities. Would recommend discovery pass if going to a lot of parks. Will save you lots of money.

We went this weekend to take some short walks in the park to see old growth forest. It was absolutely beautiful. We saw some huge trees that were hundreds of years old. The understory was so verdant and green. The ferns, mosses, and lichens are...More

Several trails in the forest that are easy with good tree coverage during the day. Sauk mountain trail has amazing views but requires a strong car to get to the trailhead up a long unpaved road. Trail is strenuous and warm on a hot day....More

Stopped by Rockport State Park to do some birdwatching. While the birding was very quiet, which had mostly to do with time of day, I had forgotten how magnificent the trees are: old growth cedar, doug fir and maple trees on the Evergreen Trail are...More

I can't do Cascadia for a scenic view. & I found this lovely park. It reminds me of Twilight the movie with everything so brain and mossy

Camped up here over 20 years ago, surprised to see the campground is closed. Small parking area with nice restrooms and picnic areas with tables. Hiking trails are everywhere here. Signage for the trails is fair. We did end up getting turned around a few...More

This is a fully treed campground. We generally stay at the Howard Miller Steelhead Park across the highway from this one as it is on the river and is lighter with hiking trails along the river.

Very pretty well cared for picnic areas and restrooms. Hiked the evergreen trail, it was easy enough for anyone, nice old growth trees, very peaceful. Well maintained trails, this is bear and berry season, so be prepared and careful, I did not see any, but...More
