Barrister Winery is located in downtown Spokane in a beautiful brick building built in 1906. Started by two attorneys in 2001, this winery is a must visit. With bold expressive Washington grapes and some careful aging, the wines prove to be some of the best in Washington. The building boasts 18' ceilings with 100 year old brick, original wood beams, and the original wood floor. The basement is full of over 450 barrels of aging Barrister red wine. In the summer the courtyard fills up with flowers and has a beautiful barrel wall, making this the perfect place for your next event. Open 12-5 daily for tastings. THERE'S MORE: Brand New tasting bar location in the Liberty building at 203 N. Washington across the street from the new Davenport Grand Hotel. Come visit us, open daily.

My wife and I stopped in for a tasting. Cab franc was delish. They had just crushed a bunch of grapes and Zach gave us a great tour of the process and the basement. Stop by, have a taste, take a tour, and grab a couple of bottles.

It sounds like you were able to see a little of the crush this fall. We're so excited to show people around the winery and explain the whole process, and yes, Zach gives a great tour and we are fortunate to have him. Thank you very much for your review and recommendation. When you have the chance, try to make... More

We really enjoyed the great wine, beautiful patio, listening to good music, and picnicking at Barister's this past August. Our new favorite was the Syrah! Don't miss this summer treat in downtown Spokane during the summer!

Thank you for such kind words. Between the fun concert and great Syrah, it sounds like a perfect evening. Stay tuned for our winter concert series that will also be every Wednesday during the cold months of January and February (inside). You can check in on our website to see the list of musicians or just give us a call.... More

I visited the tasting room with my parents in July. We were walking downtown and saw the wine tasting sign. I am so glad we went in. The two ladies working in the tasting room were friendly and very knowledgable about Barrister and the wines. Beth also gave us a lot of information about the area as well. We enjoyed... More

We visited the tasting room downtown and were not disappointed. We always try to locate a new winery in each city we can, and we are glad we ended up here. The tasting room was small but personable and the server was very knowledgeable about the wines. We thought it was nice to be greeted by one of the wineries... More

Nice looking tasting room. If you are a red wine lover, this is the place for you. Great server knew her info. No water or crackers, bring your own. We enjoyed the 2013 Syrah Baccus and Rough Justice blend. Very good. We’ll stop by again.

I was invited to a function at the winery in December. It is really a unique atmosphere, courteous staff, and very good wine. I am not a wine expert, but I know if it is palatable. And the art, I was entranced with the walls of art. What a fun time, I hope to be able to share it with... More

The Cabernet Sauvignon as very good and the First Friday event had lots of local artists' work showing for sale. The large space was packed: seems like mostly a 50+ age group location.
