Sampler or by the glass. Two dark stouts we tried really good. No food here but they let you bring in stuff from elsewhere.

We tasted a watermelon beer and a stout, neither of which we liked. However, there were people in our group who liked both! This brewery does many varieties of beers and if one sells well, they repeat it!

I love otters and as I was looking for places to go in Tacoma (we had ½ a day) I stumbled upon the Odd Otter. Otters and beer? We had to go!

The Odd Otter looks mostly like a bar, but children are allowed in before 8pm (I think?). We took our son there as they also have food.

When you go in there is a lot of cool otter art to look at. My favorite was definitely the Napoleon otter. And they are all mostly available for sale.

My wife and I shared a sampler (6 choices). Her favorite was the Blueberry Honey Wheat. My favorite were easily the Ottzel Quattzel and a honey cider (which I can’t find the name of on-line), but it tasted mead-y which I enjoy.

They also have food available though it is delivered by a neighboring business. We got a pizza and a hamburger and fries. They were both really good though the hamburger was amazing. It was juicy and delicious. The fries were winners too. We were concerned about a wait but the food came within 10-15 minutes. We were very happy with our choices.

You need to park on the street somewhere for the Odd Otter and this was a bit of a challenge. We had to park about 2 blocks up and park of the walk felt a little sketchy, but it was ok. The walk in sloped too so required some extra energy and motivation.

It's got some good beer and is worth a few hours of your time. The service is good but it is about the beer. And the beer is worth it.

Very quaint and lovely little pub. The beer was fresh and great! We were doing a 'mini' pub tour on our own and this was one of our stops. We had the sampler so we could try several of their beer. We would definitely go back next time we are visiting Tacoma.

To be honest i really only wanted to stop here due to my love of Otters. I did like the beers and thought they were really good. Bartender talked to us for the longest time, gave us insights about going up to Seattle and Vancouver since we were headed to those places next. Very clean and neat atmosphere with pictures of otters everywhere. Good variety of beers to choose from. Ended up buying some glasses to take home. When i got home, i noticed one of the glasses were chipped. I emailed the owner and he immediately sent me another glass, to Illinois, free of charge! That is what impressed me overall with this place as well. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Such a great, down to earth, brewery. The beer was delicious and the staff was beer smart and friendly. In a great spot in Tacoma, elbow up and people watch while enjoying a small batch IPA. Beware of the merch, you will want it all. Great spot!

When someone asks me where should we go for a beer in Tacoma, my first response is always Odd Otter.

They always have the best selection, and some of the oddest beers. We've been coming here since their first week, and have never been disappointed with the beer or the service.
