Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing! i had done this before with a friend, so I took my 6 adult grandchildren as a holiday surprise. They loved it and had so much fun not only creating their own piece, but watching the others. A definite must-do of you are looking for something unique.

My friend gave me a surprise early birthday gift to the Tacoma Glassblowing Studio. It was on my bucket list for a very long time.
Jessica led me through the process with much patience and lots of great tips. Ben was an exceptional glass blowing instructor. He talked me through the process with great skill, patience and kindness. I could not have been more proud of my accomplishments. I really cannot wait to go back.

What a great experience! So fun, and nearly fool proof for a beautiful piece. Quinn was our shop guy for the experience, and he was awesome! 10/10 would recommend for a fun activity as a couple, with friends, or even with your family! We will be coming back!

I’ve been to Tacoma Glassblowing Studio twice in the past six months & each time has been wonderful! Casey is fantastic helping pick colors & Ben is my favorite artist in the hot shop. Ben takes the time to explain the process & answer all questions when it comes to making a personal piece. My family loves Ben! Thank you to all the staff for making the experience so much fun!

We did the glassblowing experience and leaned how to make garden art. We had time to look at the different shapes available and select our colors and then our artist/instructor Ben guided us in making our creations. We learned a lot about glassblowing and loved making our own art. We each selected a different shape and different flourishes and it was really interesting to see how slight differences in the process can make very different pieces (such as opening the bubble to make a flower shape). We did this experience while on vacation to the West Coast so we opted to have our pieces shipped to us. They arrived a week after our experience and were in perfect condition. This was a great experience and we made our own unique souvenirs. I wish we lived closer—I’d love to go back and make more glass art. We highly recommend the glassblowing experiences at Tacoma Glassblowing Studio! The staff there are awesome!

Just walking into all of that beautifully handblown glassware was stunning. I found entirely too many pieces that I obviously couldn't live without and the service was friendly, helpful, but not hovering. I was told about the classes as they would be starting up again as soon as Washington state hit phase 3. I will be there and continue my review after creating my own piece of art! Hey, a girl can hope!

The shop is small, but filled with colorful, creative, handmade items that show a level of artistry that makes me jealous. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of demonstration going on, but I hope to return when phase 3 hits and classes are allowed. The staff was friendly, helpful without hovering and the whole experience was delightful.

Sitting in the balcony while artists were creating glass blown vases was a very informative experience. It was the first time I had seen the art from beginning to finish. It is an art and a skill. The Tacoma studio is set up so observers can see the whole thing in comfort, It is worth taking the time to see the total process.

The staff was very helpful in explaining how your experience would be handled. We asked that our project be adjusted just a tiny bit and there was no issue with our request. Our artist/instructor, Ben, was very friendly and great to work with. He made my friend and I feel very at ease with trying this new experience and explained everything very clearly when making our creations. The studio does offer shipping, for a fee I'm sure, of your art work as you are not allowed to take it with you the same day its created. Highly recommended for something fun and a little different.

We were lucky to visit on a day when the museums were free to all. Whilst the glass blowing studio was interesting, it is a gallery type viewing platform, so you feel very far from the action. There is a large screen, but it lacks intimacy. The gallery itself had some lovely exhibits, however, both of my children (aged 9 & 12) grew bored quickly & they are children who visit galleries and museums regularly. Not enough was made of the wonderful children's artwork, which is tucked away in a corridor leading to the toilets! Such a shame. The staff in the gift shop were very rude when asked questions - just blunt and lacking customer service skills. Had we had to have paid for the visit, I would have been very disappointed as I wouldn't say you get good value for money. The walkway of glass outside leading to Pacific Avenue is lovely. I would say it's probably the best of a bad bunch of places visit in Tacoma.
