We arrived in Vashon for the day and have heard good things about the "beach with the lighthouse". Our toddler enjoyed playing by the water and we enjoyed the view just sitting on one of the many benches. Picnicking is also a great option there....More

Always fun taking the ferry from Seattle to Vashon and then the drive down to the Coast Guard light house. Kid friendly beach.

From the Fauntleroy Ferry (Seattle) it's about 20 or 30 minutes. Closer to 20, if I remember correctly. Depends a bit on how busy the Farmer's market is.
