Nice place to take a break

Very nice rest area very clean and we'll maintained. There is nice areas for a picnic lunch and plenty of places to walk the pets. The welcome center has maps and lots of information on the state.

Nice place with a lot of information
Aug 2019
Unfortunately we were just driving through a small section of West Virginia. The welcome center was in a cool looking building. It had a lot of information on attractions throughout the state. It definitely planted a little seed in our minds that we will have to return in the future and allow more time to explore WV.

Always a good experience

We routinely stop here on the interstate. The bathrooms are always clean and the rest area has a dog relieving area

nice welcome center with staff, lots of helpful travel info and nice facilities including pretty flowers
May 2018 • Couples
Although this Welcome Center which is the first one along I-68 westbound after you cross into West Virginia from Maryland was not as nice as ones in Maryland and Pennsylvania, it nevertheless was pretty nice and seemed pretty new. The facilities were in great condition, there on on site staff including maintenance people watering the flowers and overall it just seemed well kept and a nice place to stretch your legs. There was a lot of helpful travel info for anyone wanting to do pretty much whatever exists in West Virginia. Lots of brochures about activities and they were divided by region which was helpful for those not familiar with West Virginia. I really liked that they had staff both inside and outside available to answer questions and do maintenance like water the flowers. Am posting a video on youtube showing the facilities. They had lots of vending machines for beverages and snacks which again was a nice feature.

this is welcome center

This is just a welcome center on the westbound side of I-68 . There is nothing special about it and it's hard to rate just bathrooms and picnic tables

Flying our flags at half-staff today

I-68 Westbound Welcome Center at Mile Marker 31, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525 is a great location, and this Welcome Center is superb in its staffing. We had noticed US and WV flags at half-staff today, and no information was on-line. Sure enough, the diligent staff at Mile Marker 31, Bruceton Mills, WV provided the answer. And on driving west of I-68, our RAV4 registered 40.3 mpg, and the road trippers will know why.

Do the rest stop and get a view.
Jun 2017 • Couples
You don’t need to stop here for the rest stop if you’re traveling westward, but if you don’t you will miss getting a nice view of the valley you left on I-68 going westward as well as seeing some interesting geological formations after slicing through the mountain for the interstate. You will need to climb some stairs behind the building to get up to the vantage point. But once there, and if on a clear day, you can see quite a distance. There’s no direct access to the rest stop if you’re going eastward, but can pull off and park then walk the bridge across the interstate to get to the rest stop.

Windy but Welcoming
Dec 2016 • Friends
This welcome center close to the WV/MD state line is midway along my usual route between Allegany County, MD and Morgantown, WV, so I often make a quick stop here. The location is perfect for me and the facility is well-maintained as both a comfort station and information center. But I have to warn you--perched on a mountain peak at a fairly high elevation, the wind can be biting and the cold can be brutal! So bundle up and walk quickly into the welcoming warmth.

Its a Welcome center that's about it
Aug 2016 • Family
It's nice but it's a welcome center. Bathrooms, visitor and sightseeing info, and a picnic area. Just like most welcome centers. Although my youngest son was amazed it had something called a pay phone
