Whenever I visit a new place I like to learn about its history and this place showed just that. It was totally worth the hike down 800+ stairs to see the abandoned buildings that once made up town!

This hike is challenging due to the 821 steps down and back. You'll see a history of coal mining in the region from the relics left behind. There's a great deal of shade due to the tree cover but you'll need to stop for water...More

Beautiful hike cool water features and lots of stairs. Parking at the trail head is limited don't park in the no parking areas or you might get hit by a bus.

Beautiful hike, extremely hard if you at not used to a massive hike, mainly uphill. Just wish they had some kind of really cool attraction at the bottom. Still worth it though.
