CJ was an incredible tour guide. He told stories, spoke to history, and kept even the horrible events in Moundsville's past relatively light. He took the time to give us a longer tour rather than rushing us along and even told stories about the TV...More

This was an unplanned stop, actually, and turned out to be the highlight of the day. From the magnificent walls viewed from the outside to the gloomy cells on the inside, you leave with an cold, hard reality, almost haunting, of prison life. First of...More

We did an overnight ghost hunt and it was so much fun. Didn’t get a ton of paranormal activity but just being in the prison and exploring was so worth it. Lori was our tour guide and was great! Very knowledgeable about the prison and...More

A pleasant enough place to visit with an interesting history. Worth a trip through on a warm day. There was no heat during my visit. The gift shop has a good number of souvenirs, and you will learn some of the history, but our guide...More

I wasn't aware that they allowed pets but I could see a dog moving along this tour well. I do not think we walked on stairs nor did we go into small spaces (except for the cells if we wanted to).
