First time in area and went to the special candlelight evening done one weekend a year. Weather was cold but atmosphere and presentation took you back in time being part of history. Lots of activities to enjoy. Would do candlelight weekend again.

There is ample free parking just inside the floodwall at the dock where you board the sternwheeler that takes you to the island. There is a snack bar on the island with a diverse menu, but you are welcome to take anything... More

There is a volunteer that drives a golf cart for people who need assistance getting from one area to the next.
