What a relaxing place to take the whole family. They have water and non water activities not to mention the view on the way down on the ski lift. Paddleboards, kayaks and canoes are all free with the passes and a large inflatable area for the kids

Imagine taking a ski lift down a mountain to your destination. That's what happens at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in order to access the Shavers Lake attractions. We were staying at Snowshoe and had access to the lift and all of the activities at the lake at our disposal as part of our fun pass. There were all sorts of activities... More

Riding up and down the mountain on either the balhooter or the lift on the other side of the village was the highlight of our stay. The scenery was awesome and the lift attendants friendly and helpful. The lake has several activities to enjoy that are included in the pass including paddle boarding, paddle boats, kayaking, swimming, and hiking.

First off, I don't ski. I hate snow and having to wear all those layers. But, I think ski lifts are great fun. In the summer you get free lift rides if you book through Snowshoe. How can you beat that? The lift line is quick, they have never told me I couldn't take my little backpack cooler, and sometimes... More

This was a summer visit to Snowshoe and the Ballhooter lift ride was great fun with beautiful scenery. Shavers Lake has a snack bar as well as kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and a beach.

The lift was a new experience for me and was why I never tried skiing. I was terrified of the lift. But this year I am learning to ski. Riding the lift in the summer was a great experience and totally calmed my fears. Cannot wait to return with the whole family and hoping to learn how to ski \.

This ride is so wonderful - beautiful view and peaceful. This is one of the main reasons we stay at Snowshoe, so that we can ride the chairlift! It is fun to get off at the bottom and spend time at Shaver's lake, either to get a drink on the deck at the Boathouse or run a paddleboat around the... More

We come skiing here every winter. It is only about an hour from our house. Yet, this is the first time I had ever ridden the lift in the summer months. It was a neat experience. The lift can be a little unnerving for smaller kids, or those who have a fear of heights. Once at the bottom, we had... More

Being summer not a lot going on at the resort; however the lift down to the Lake and using the paddle boats was a highlight of our stay.
