Fabulous!

We grew up in the area and love to go back when we can to enjoy this park. You will always spot hordes of deer grazing along the roads and paths. So much to se and do here.

I checked several websites that had conflicting dates the Festival of Lights would be on until Jan. 8th. I called Oglebay before we left our room & followed the prompts on the phone. They said it would be open til Jan. 8th, (this was saturday evening the 7th) but when we drove to the park & past the park &... More

We drove a little over an hour from Pittsburgh to see the Festival of Lights. We chose to pay less than the $20 donation. I'm not sure it's worth $20, but maybe to some people! The display was not like I expected. There are different segments of lights: some near the golf course, some near the tiny ski area, some... More

We've talked about going to see the lights at Christmas for about fifty years. This year we did and now wish we had gone much sooner. We joined about a thousand others the week after Christmas on a sold-out, mid-week, two day visit. That is clearly their busy season. The sheer size of the park allows for so many things... More

I'd like to start by saying that Oglebay is simply stunning at Christmas time! When the Lodge is decorated it is so cozy & warm. Festival of lights is a must see - though all the spaced out lights can be confusing if you're not from the area.

We have heard lots of things about the lights, so we thought we'd give them a try. Glad we did, a great light show! Was worried that the kids would have a hard time sitting in the van the whole time. Just let them sit on our laps and it was fine. They also have some places to stop and... More

We enjoy lunch in the Ihlenfield dining room-great food when visiting. The view is spectacular of the lake and rolling hills. The glass museum is a fun place to tour and the gift shop can help you find unique gifts for those special people you know that have birthdays coming up. They also have gorgeous stained glass lamps for your... More

I have been to the park in the summer and at winter. Best time to visit is at the holiday season. They have an amazing Christmas light display. Great for making more family memories and maybe even a Christmas tradition.

We stayed at Wilson Lodge because my wife wanted to see the Festival of Lights. We had driven around earlier in the day and noted, while going through all the Christmas shops, that there was a $20 "Recommended Contribution" to view the Festival of Lights. Since it was part of the resort, we assumed it was included in our lodging.... More

We've been coming here for 2 decades. The lights are always enjoyable and the fact that the deer come right up to your car is a plus. They seem to add new light displays and different things to do each year. Keep in mind the price for the lights does not include admission to the good zoo or the laser... More
