All the Wisconsin and Iowa State parks in this area are great. Lots of hiking trails, camping, helpful workers and interesting history. State park admission or sticker required. Can see Pike's Peak from this park. Nice boat launch site for viewing the river too.

Camping on the edge of the bluff over looking the Wisconsin and Mississippi is the best. It can get awful hot in July but the woods and all the hiking trails can give some relief. Kayaking opportunities are abundant.

We've camped here a few times now. Especially love the Homestead camping area with its newer restroom facility, and both electric and non-electric sights. Many are set in the woods & more private...most have shade. We 'glamp' in a lil 16' camper, so the dump...More

We stayed at site 232 in the Homestead Campground and could not have had a better time. The site is a bit on the smaller side, but there was enough room for two tents and a 10x10 pop-up shelter. I was a bit concerned about...More

We felt the campsites were quite small (at least the ridge ones), smaller than typical in other state campgrounds we've been to. Our firepit (the same as most it seemed) was right next to the road, so little privacy if you... More
