Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We overnighted two nights in the mansion. It's beautiful. It made us feel like Ringling's albeit for two nights only. With the Al Ringling Brewery (attached) it was a complete experience. We "lived" history! It was wonderful.

Tour was $20.00 which is too much for touring a cluttered B&B. We were not impressed. Large parking lot behind the house. Restrooms in Brewery. Purchase tickets on line or at the bar in the brewery.

Kim had lots of information and fun stories. You cannot see all the areas of the mansion due to some still being renovated but what you see gives you a taste of their lifestyle.

A great tour of the Al Ringling Mansion. As others have mentioned, they are still restoring the mansion to it's former glory but it's still fun to see and hear the stories.

Kim led an amazing tour of Al Ringling’s mansion built in 1905 - she was a wealth of information. Unbelievable how much of the original mansion and it’s furnishings were in tact. The mansion is still a work in progress as Covid slowed down some of the restoration, but it’s worth a stop now and if we are back this way in a few years we will stop again! The Tiffany windows and light fixtures were worth a stop just in themselves. Well worth the time (about an hour) and the money - ($20 each)

We took a tour with Kim today. She was very informative and friendly; we learned so much about the history of the house and the Ringling family! She made it very interesting for our kids, who love a good ghost story. A must see if you are in the Baraboo area!

House is in the middle of renovation. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. However tour is expensive considering what you get to see. Although I would recommend touring the home I would not make a special trip just to see the house. If you’re already in the area it’s worth seeing.

Excellent tour by our guide Kim. She took the time to explain many details about the family and the house and answered all of our questions (and we had many). So much history within the walls. There has been alot of work done to bring it back to its original glory, and that is still ongoing now. They are doing a great job and paying attention to detail. Many of the furniture pieces in the house are original, as are the chandeliers and other items. It was owned by the local Elks Club for many years, and they made many changes which the new owners are now working on remodeling to keep the history of the family house intact.
SIde note - when we took the tour, it was cash only, no credit cards were accepted. There is an ATM on site in the attached brewery/restaurant.

Our guide, Kim, was wonderful! Gave us lots of information and included many anecdotes. Loved seeing this beautiful mansion and learning about its history and the Ringling family. An added bonus was meeting one of the current owners! So nice to see people in this home who really love it.

Excellent way to see all the circus wagons and experience the history and pageantry of this museum. We spent over 4 hours just amazed at all the work and time that goes into a circus. This can be self guided or take a guided tour. Kids of all ages will be entertained.

My wife and I will be in Baraboo celebrating our anniversary on September 21st. Will the mansion be open for tours that day? I’m a circus fanatic and would love to tour and hear the stories!

You might want to call them to check but if you're a circus fanatic, assume you've been to Circus World because THAT is an incredible collection of circus memorabilia. And there is also a B&B that was owned by another of the Ringling brothers that looks great - I haven't stayed there but you might want to check that out if you haven't already. It's the Ringling House Bed and Breakfast - a big yellow home that's been renovated.
