Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Only six of the dozen medieval towers of the city have been preserved. The architectural style and the ornamentation used, indicate that those construction originate from the period of the Turkish rule. Clock tower is one of the most significant towers in Kratovo, just next to the river.
You can not enter, but it worth a visit.

Kratovo offers many interesting sightseeing places worth visiting, one of which is the Clock Tower. Situated in the town's center, overlooking the whole area, it cannot be missed. Kratovo towers used to be an important symbol of town's once glorious history. All in all, it's worth visiting!

There are a number of these towers dotted around Kratovo but this was the only one open when we were there. The tower had been nicely restored and is worth a look but, to be honest, a visit only occupies a few minutes of your time. The middle floor has an exhibition of historic photographs of the town but there is no English translation of the accompanying text. The top floor seems to have been converted to a cafe type of area but wasn’t operating. There was sign indicating an entry fee of €1 but nobody present to collect. There’s a nice view across town from a small balcony on the top floor.

In this town, not only towers are interesting. Old streets, houses, orthodox churches, bridges and the location itself is interesting. It is quite neglected, as if abandoned on the periphery of an interesting world, but it has something in itself. We were there briefly, only at dusk. One would like to have more time to walk around the nooks and crannies of the town and observe life.

Firstly we didn’t go inside, however it is easy to understand why Kratovo is called the town of towers and bridges, which are here in numbers. The clock town signifies the Ottoman history of the town and brings home the fact that Kratovo is one of the oldest towns in the Balkans.

There are 6 remaining medieval towers from the 13 built to protect the city gold from the Ottoman invasions. this one is being repaired and open for visitors. You may see the town history on Your way up on the walls through photos and some artifacts, on the top floor there is a great view and also place for some refreshment drinks...You will have a guide who will provide many interesting stories!
