Amazing! My husband and I had not been to the Cave of the Mounds for over forty years. We attended the wine and cheese tasting in the cave and had a wonderful evening (Cave in the dark event). The cave is gorgeous and awesome! Highly recommend!

I truly enjoyed this cave tour. I was so happy to get the "cave kisses" (cave water drippings) dripping on me. I also enjoyed seeing the cave formations and "cave bacon."

The caves are on the smaller side but there are many formations and colors. The tour guide was great and because it was October the kids got to “trick or treat” in the cave during the tour. They handed out cool rocks and fossils and...More

I chaperoned my daughter's 3rd grade class to the caves and I really enjoyed myself! There is so much to see and learn here!! And the plus side, the kids enjoyed it as well! Definately recommend the caves to anyone of any age!

If you are nearby, definitely stop. We got there just in time to start next & last tour of the day. The underground cave tour was good and informative, though I found myself asking questions about the formations that I felt the guide should have...More

A friend and I made a last minute decision to include the Cave of the Mounds as part of our vacation itinerary, and we were both glad we did. The speleothems (cave formations) are beautiful and fascinating. The guides do an excellent job explaining things...More

Our high school tour guide knew his stuff. He shared myriad details as we explored the various elements of this unique natural wonder. There was one part of the tour that was quite narrow but we could go another way if that bothered anyone. All...More

No. You will have to carry often, it gets very crowded and some placed very narrow. No backpacks or large bags allowed.

You need to be able to walk ~ an hour, including up & down some steps and potentially across slightly damp pavement, & there is nowhere to easily sit for a break. Hope that helps!
