At the full sun spring through fall angle at 9 am and 4 om the sun makes the moss come alive. Amazing 1 Mike loop hiking trail.

An interesting interprative trail.
Aug 2017 • Couples
This trail provides access to bogs, forests, and lake views, along with information regarding the local trees and plants. Parking is nearby, but if you stay at Fiesta on the Lake, you can walk to this.

Beautiful Lake
Oct 2016 • Friends
Great forest preserve with a beautiful lake. many walking trails and bike path surrounding this large clear lake. The lake is divided into North and South Trout Lake.
We stopped by the campground to view the gorgeous sunset overlooking the 3,400 acre Trout Lake. The campsite was very clean and organized and all locations clearly marked. The sunset was beautiful along with the calm waters. Great fishing lake with public boat ramps. You can tell some locals relaxing watching the sunset. Great lake I already inquired for some land on the water, a great place to call home.
