This is a nice quilt museum with a great expanse of quilts, going as far back as the Civil War era. We enjoyed it.

I came to the Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts with my Mom, and it was the perfect attraction for us. It was not a time consuming place to tour-- we spent no more than an hour in the museum, which was perfect for us as larger museums are often overwhelming or take a full day to see. This was... I've known about this place since it's beginning, but sometimes it's hard to be a tourist in your own town and visit what is just around the corner. Luckily we had guests in town and we took them here. It is nice that their exhibit space changes from time to time, so I can go back and not feel that... More

People who love fabric, are awed by handwork, or just love the culture and joy of any type of needlework will love this place. The changing exhibits are always lovely. The gift shop has some very unique items, including a "Zen slate" for water words. Enchanting idea.

There were maybe a dozen quilts on display. Having been to other quilt museums this lacked the volume and quilts. There were many more woven items then traditional quilts.

Unlike other quilt museums, WMQFA is a fiber art museum, so we exhibit textiles of all kinds, including quilts, knitted items, weavings, embroidery, and more. During your visit, the museum's exhibition was Coverlets and Stevengraphs, which is why the exhibited items were primarily woven. We try to let everyone know what the current exhibitions are in our emails, on our... More

We visited on a Saturday when they were holding a quilting class in the main exhibit room, so we were unable to view the quilts on display, only the coverlets. There was no staff available to give us information about the museum. It was much smaller than expected and definitely not worth the $8 admission price (for one room?) It... More

We visited the Museum of Quilts and Fabric Arts for the first time on our recent visit to Cedarburg. What a great way to learn some American History as historical data accompanies the quilts on display. It is amazing to see the excellent condition they are in with vibrant colors as they are over 100 years old.

Volunteers were very friendly and took interest in each visitor. Found the price a bit high for how small the actual museum was. If you love quilts, definitely make your way here. If you like museums, it's also a good stop.

There was no notification that the museum would be closed and not open to the public until 12:00 Noon

I'm very sorry that the museum was closed when you visited. We had a special artist program and opened late as a result. I know how frustrating it can be to drive somewhere and look forward to seeing a museum and not be able to get in. We did try to let people know we'd be opening late by posting... More

It is a wonderful place to take a look back at our history in the fiber arts. It is a hidden gem in Cedarburg.
